Can anyone help translate this for me?

Start 129 st
Dec1st at each end of next 9 rows, then on 6 foll alt rows, then on 1 foll 4th rows.
97 sts.

I thought I understood but the math didn’t work

The Dec’s are each end of rows
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 (next 9)
11 13 15 17 19 21 (6 following alternate)
25 (following 4th)

That’s 16 rows with decreases.
Two dec per dec row =32 sts
129 - 32 = 97

I’m still I little confused by the last bit sorry.

What does it mean by the 4th?

I got it it means Dec 1 at each end on the foll 4th row or the 25th row ok think I got ot now

Yes, that’s it. Following 4th is 4 rows after the previous decrease row.
These pattern instructions can be tricky to get to grips with but it gets easier the more you read them.
