Hello Im new here 
Im just getting back into knitting and stuck on row 8 of the pattern for the Invercargill shawl by Trine Eger Nielsen from Ravelry.
Its a triangle shawl made from top down with a rib pattern. I understand the increases at beginning, end and centre but I cant understand how to go about the rib pattern on row 8. The instructions are quite minimal! Can anyone help as I am going mad trying to fathom it out!

The rib pattern is k3, p2 on the right side (RS) rows. You want to keep that in mind as you make the increases. The pattern has you making the increases on the RS (even numbered) rows as knit sts. Then on the following row, take those sts into the k3, p2 rib.
For example, at the end of row 6 there will be the knit edge stitch, 8sts, the center knit stitch, 8sts and a knit edge stitch. Each increase will then become part of the k3, p2 pattern. Keep the edge sts and the center or mid-stitch as a knit on the RS and p on the WS but continue the rib pattern on the other sts.
Row 7 will then become p1, k2, p3, k2, p1, p1 (mid-st), p1, k2, p3, k2, p1 where the edge sts are knit on each row but the mid-st is knit on the RS, p on the WS.
It will help to place a marker either side of the center stitch and if you’d like, a marker after the first edge stitch and before the last stitch although these last two markers may make it more difficult to pick up the strand between sts.
