Help with numbering and “foll” in raglan pattern

Hi there

I’m having trouble with a rowan pattern and what they mean by “decrease 1 st at front slope edge of 9th and 1 foll 12th rows, and then on - 5 foll - 10th rows,

At same time dec 2 sts at raglan armhole edge of 9th and 1 foll 10th row, then on 6 foll 8th rows”

Where does the numbering start- after each action or right at the beginning? Any help appreciated!

Thanks so much

Welcome to KH!
What is the name of your pattern?
Begin these decreases after the previous direction in the pattern. So if the direction was to bind off for the underarm then both of these directions would start immediately after that.

Thanks so much- it’s Rowan Beda, and I’m knitting it in a small (the second size). I’m just not sure about what the foll actually means here and what the numbers refer to/ when you begin counting for the 12th row etc. Is there any chance you could translate to plain English? I’m desperate to keep going and do this pattern but have no one to ask! Thanks so much for your help!

Very nice.

After that last direction start counting rows. Call the first row, row 1. Decrease at the front slope on rows 9 and 21 and then on 31,41,51,61 and 71. Decrease at the armhole edge on rows 9 and 19 then on rows 27,35,43,51,59 and 67.

This is so helpful- thank you so much!!
