Help with Mosey from knitty

hi there! i saw mosey on knitty and thought it was oh so cute. so i printed out the instructions and took a stab at it. but i got confused quickly. after the 2x2 ribbing part comes the eyelet round and that’s where i got confused. it says:

Eyelet Round: Work 24[36] sts in pattern, k2tog, yo, p2, yo, k2tog, continue in pattern to end.

so i work the 24 sts, then k2tog, yo, p2, yo, k2tog. thats where i stopped. what does it mean to continue in pattern to end?

i dont know if i should repeat this [Work 24[36] sts in pattern, k2tog, yo, p2, yo, k2tog] to the end
or do i just repeat [k2tog, yo, p2, yo, k2tog] to the end after working the above instructions.

i hope you guys understand what im asking. sorry if im asking such a simple question. it sounds easy, but i just can’t get it.:??

thanks in advance

You should do whatever you did with the initial 24[36] stitches.

Let’s say you are doing a P2K2 rib pattern.

You do P2K2 for the first 24[36] stitches. Do k2tog, yo, p2, yo, k2tog. Then P2K2 rib for the rest of the stitches.

This is what I think. Experts, please correct me if I am wrong.

Can you post a link to the pattern?

I agree with what Ivy told you. You’re making the eyelet just to thread the cord through, it doesn’t go all the way around. You work in ribbing for 24, do the k2tog, yo, p2, yo, k2tog, then go back to ribbing the rest of the way around.

Wow, that’s gorgeous! It also looks complicated. All the best with it
