Help with dropped stitches please!

I’m hoping someone will be able to help. I am new to knitting (on my first project) and although I know how to pick up dropped stitches in the middle of a row, I have gone and dropped them off the end!!!

I am knitting garter stitch, and I have two loops hanging off the end which need seeing to. They appear to be from two separate rows, I have no idea how to twirl them together to pick them back up. Can someone please describe in minute detail how to do this, or even better, direct me to where I can see a video of the solution online?

Thank you!

Jennifer

Dropped end sts are really difficult to pick up unless it’s on the next row or two. I would just rip out to the rows they’re on and reknit. The Tip page has a video how to reinsert your needle if you take it out to rip back.

Thanks Sue, it is on the last two rows, but maybe it is easier for me as a beginner to just reinsert my needle two rows down. What a shame, since each row is 160 sts!

Thanks again

It is possible, but it’s hard to explain. I did see a discussion of this somewhere but can’t remember where. Like Sue said you might as well just do those rows over. Bummer.

Don’t forget to show us all when you have finished your project! Good Luck.
