i’ve just started knitting (now i’m obsessed!!!) and have recently found an awesome pattern for a star scarf thats double knitted.

i’m having a problem though - when i come an X in the pattern, or the point where its supposed to “switch colors”, the reverse color shows through, but the main color still looks like its laying on top of the reverse - kind of like a chunk is cut out of the side of the point of the star. i’ve tried to position the yarn differently about 10 times so far but its still happening! please help me!!!
Hi. I really don’t know how to answer but I notice the designer has left their email address after the graph so perhaps ask? It’s a lovely design idea that would be wonderfully transferable to children’s blankets etc. If you find out how to solve the problem can you come back and tell us please? Perhaps it’s the way the two yarn threads are supposed to be held?
Sorry, you did say about changing yarn position. Out of interest, does the ‘next’ stitch have the problem? I’m wondering if you switched positions on the stitch before the one you’re supposed to whether that would help??
no it only happens on the first stitch - where i’m supposed to purl 2 in a row… good idea on emailing the designer though… i’ll definitely try to do that. thank you for helping!
