Hi, so I’ve started another baby bootie pattern and got stuck on a part. The link to the pattern is: http://www.knitlist.com/01gift/oh-baby-booties.htm
I have just started the project, beginning at the cuff. I don’t know how to do the part following the bind off. How do you finish the cuff? Also can you look at the rest of the pattern…am I supppose to knit everything separately and seam it after?
Cuff
Cast on 15 sts and work in garter st for 5". Bind off.
Along one long edge, pick up and k 30 sts.
Work in garter st for 10 rows. Cut yarn.
The whole bootie will be in one piece when you have all the parts knit, but it will require a seam up the back to finish it.
After you cast on the 15 stitches you worked for 5 inches. One of the 5 inch long sides will be the edge of the cuff that folds down and the other long side of your rectangle is where you are supposed to pick up 30 stitches along the whole side (that will be where the rest of the bootie is formed). If one side of the rectangle looks better than the other (they may look the same), designate that side as the cuff edge and use the not so good looking side as the one you pick the stitches up on. After you get the 30 stitches picked up you then knit 10 rows and cut the yarn.
