Help with a pattern sugarncream heart dishcloth

So I found this pattern —> http://com.yarnspirations.pattern-pdfs.s3.amazonaws.com/Lily_SugarnCreamweb124_kn_blanket.en_US.pdf.

I get to row 10 no problem but I’m unsure about
11 (( k1p1x2. K4. Yo. (S1l. k2tog. Psso. (Yo) twice)) 6 times. S1l. K2tog. Psso. Yo. K4. P1k1x2. I feel like I’m doing it correct but unsure if hen I finish the row I feel it’s wrong … when I do it When it says (yo) twice is it meaning a double yarn over ? Cause I haven’t been doing that… which I’m sure isn’t helping if it’s not a double yo or hat does it mean? .I get to 12 I feel like I’ve definitely messed up …once I’m finished with 11 instead of the 37 stitches I’ve started with I’m left with only 30 and I’m assuming it’s because the (yo) twice part I am not doing …

The second question was getting to 12 … k1p1 twice then k1 … I get that fine but purl till the last 5 working into double yarn over as follows p1, p1tbl … till last 5 stiches … so I’m not sure what that means? if I purl till last 5 then do p1 p1tbl I don’t have room for the k1p1x2 then k1. So do I do p1 p1tbl 2 stitches before or am I supposed to do this throughout the only purling section ? any help would be a wonderful I’m definitely not an expert but I know some knitting it’s just these are very confusing for me … I’ve looked up video tutorials onto how to do this but since I’ve had no luck finding someone doing this exact pattern it’s been difficult I’m going to keep trying to figure it out but again anyone that understands and can help I would be so greatful!

Welcome to the forum!
On row 11 there are double yarn overs. Wrap the yarn twice around the needle. You’ll maintain the stitch count that way.

On row 12, purl until you have 5sts remaining on the left hand needle. As you come to the double yarn over from row 11, purl into the first of the yarn overs, then purl through the back loop into the second yarn over. This p1, p1tbl is only meant for the double yarn over. The other sts up to the last 5sts are plain ol’ purl.

My opinion is that it’s sloppy, lazy pattern writing. Get a piece of paper out and rewrite the pattern the way you will understand it. My opinion, half the brackets could go. What was it? K1, p1 twice I would write out k1 p1, k1 p1. Every so often you get a blog pattern where the pattern writer does her own thing with non standard abbreviations. They usually explain what they are at the beginning of a pattern but not always. Rewrite it.
