I have been knitting on an off for 30 years and really want to learn more now…I found a pattern I loved and it calls for [B]Paton Seasons yarn…BUT I can’t find the yarn on the net or in stores…it is a verigated light cotton wooll blend with a gage of 22 st. on 4 mm needles…any ideas on where I find the yarn or what a good substitute is???
Have you checked at yarndex.com to see if something with a similar fiber blend and gauge is listed?
I haven’t been able to find any reference to that yarn, either. I’d think that any cotton or cotton blend dk weight yarn would work. There are tons out there, but it depends on what color and price you’re looking for.
Ravelry says it’s discontinued but it’s DK, 115 yards, 50g, 22-29st to 4 inches, US6 or 4mm needle, made of 40% acrylic, 37% cotton, 11% polyester, 10% linen, 2% nylon and it’s a slub yarn
