Or search Google and find many other reputable disaster funding/aid programs that are taking donations.

I have friends there, and they are ok. I love Japan, the people, the culture, and the simple beauty of it.

Being a victim of Hurricane Charlie myself, and losing my home and everything I owned…I feel great sorrow for these victims. I was lucky to have a supportive network of co-workers. They donated a temporary condo for me to live in for free, along with clothes, and all necessary items I needed to get back on my feet.

Please donate if you are financially able.

For those who are religious/spiritual, please pray for these people.

…here’s a small miracle…

We donated $100 through the Red Cross. Little Knits has a matching program which means they also donated $100 to match my donation. So cool!

That’s awesome Cheley. I am a big supporter of animal rescue and animal rights. I’m happy to see this.

Jan, that is awesome too!

I’m glad that they’re helping people AND animals. I saw a heart-wrenching episode of Pit Bulls and Parolees where they came across the remains of a dog who had lost it’s owners in Katrina. Of course, nobody meant to abandon her, but animals can be devastated just like humans. I would hate the thought of losing my little puppy in the face of disaster. He’d be terrified, and I’d be depressed without him (as well as my family)

I “liked” JEARS on facebook. I have literally no money to donate, but I like to keep up.
