New knitter hear. I’m knitting a ribbed hat in k1p1 and went to purl and i’m not really how to explain what happened, but what I thought was a yarn over has caused both the current row and the bottom row to turn into a a big loop. I’ve included pictures. Can someone please advise? Thank you!
Your knitting other than this looks great!
It looks to me like you did have a yo which has left extra yarn and made the stitch really loose. You might be able to work it into neighboring stitches by pulling on one leg of the next stitch then the other leg, pulling some extra yarn with it, and continue as far as you need to with more stitches. You can do it on both sides of the offending stitch. Or you could tink (unknit) back to where the yo was and reknit.
In case tinking is new for you here’s a video.
Thank you so much for your help!
You’re welcome. I’m glad I could help and I hope you got it all figured out. I do that kind of thing all too often and I don’t know why. I shouldn’t be doing it anymore. lol
