HELP! Pattern help needed badly

I am STILL stuck with the Cat’s Paw Lace Scarf Pattern. The pattern states: multiples of 12 sts + 1.

The pattern is very narrow so I doubled it to 48 +1.

The 13th row: “K2, K2tog, yo, K6, K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K2tog, K6, yo, K2tog, K2.”

I have tried to do a mirror image for the second half and no matter what I do it does not work out. Can someone tell me how to decipher this pattern, what in the world I am doing wrong. It is the cat’s paw pattern rows that turn out wrong in every attempt, i.e. the 13, 15, 17 rows. The lace edge rows cause no problems because the number of stitches is not critical. Obviously I must be missing something in the math of this thing. Help, please!!!

The k2s on either end are probably the edge sts and shouldn’t be repeated. So take them out and you have:

K2 (K2tog, yo, K6, K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K2tog, K6, yo, K2tog) repeat, end K2." So that’s a 20 st +1 plus the 4 edge stitches. You only need 45 sts, not 48.

If that’s not it, then if you have a link to the pattern that would help.

Row 15: K9, K2tog, yo, K3, yo, K2tog, K9
Row 17: K2, K2tog, yo, K7, K2tog, yo, K8, yo, K2tog, K2
Row 19: Knit
Row 21: K2, K2tog, yo, Knit to last 4 sts, yo, K2tog, K2
Row 23: Knit
Row 25: K2, K2tog, yo, Knit to last 4 sts, yo, K2tog, K2
Row 27: Knit

In writing it out, it looks like several rows end with a yo,k2tog,k2 for the edge.

So maybe the repeat should be (k6,k2tog,yo,k,yo)3x, end with k6, k2tog, yo, k2.

On the next rows, line up the k2tog, yo, k3, yo, k2tog so that the center stitch of the k3 is lined up with the k1 of the previous row.

If you make sure all the stitches between the yo’s are lined up, you should be ok.
