Help needed with k 2nd st tbl, k 1st st

Someone helped with understand that when I k 2nd st tbl, k 1st st that I do the following: sl the 1st st to the right ndl, k 2nd st tbl, then move 2nd st to the left ndl and then move 1st st to the left ndl, then k 1st st, then move 2nd st to the right ndl.

The parts I need help with is:
When I sl the st back and forth, do I sl it as if knitting or do I sl them behind the st?

You dould do that but it’s actually easier not to slip the first stitch. Just knit the 2nd st from the back, then knit the 1st one.
