I knitted a sweater in the round, stockinette, and did not notice until I was done that it is twisting around. The row of stitches that begins under the arm ends up somewhere in the front of the sweater on the bottom. How can I avoid this next time? What did I do wrong?
Can you post a picture?
Is it a cardigan or pullover? Is the whole thing twisted or just that one row?
It is a pullover sweater. The Love Bites-For Him sweater from the Vampire Knits book. The whole sweater has a diagonal slant to the stockinette stitch.
Do your sts look like the ones in the pictures in this article?
That’s why they say, “join, being careful not to twist.” I think we’ve all done it at least once. Once was enough to make me more careful. Do you think that’s what happened?
I feel your pain.
