Hi,
I wonder if you can help me.
I’m not sure what this instruction means.

Welcome to the forum!
The pattern gives you instructions that show you how and where to work the slip stitch edge when you start the ribbing:
Row 1 (RS): *K1, P1, rep from * to last 3 sts, K1, yfwd, sl 1, yb, K1.
Row 2: Wyif sl 1, yb, K1, wyif sl 1, yb, *K1, P1, rep from * to end. These 2 rows form rib and slip stitch edging.
This is the pattern to follow on the edge sts as you knit the stockinette stitch body of the sweater.
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. :o)
