HELP! I lost marker placement!

I have been knitting this peek a boo top, and it is coming along beautifully. However, my marker fell out, and as a result I had to frog some rows- because the pattern was off. I don’t know what to do to get back on track- I am not even 100% sure of the row I am on, though I can probably figure that part out; I just need to get my marker back in the right spot. Does anybody have an idea about how I can fix this? I left a tail (small) so my marker should be around there, but it was wrong when I tried that before…

Are you working the bottom cable portion? Check where the tail is (or possibly a small jog at the beginning of round) and try to match the stitch pattern with the initial instructions. You may need to work some rows by looking at your stitches to figure out where you are in the pattern. The same will go for the row number.

Thank you so much! I think I found where the marker goes and as for pattern, well, when I knit a few rows I will know for sure. I remember doing rows 1-4 which was the part I took out… but then I was at k2 p2 which is rows 6-11- so I think I took out more than I realized. I will start again on row 1 of the chain pattern repeat, and I am hoping it will all work out! :crossed_fingers:
