Help! How do I line a felted bag?

Hi,

I’m a relatively new knitter and am well into knitting my first felted tote. :happydance:
I would prefer to line it, but have no idea how or what fabric to choose. I don’t own a sewing machine but am reasonably competent with a needle and thread.

Do you know of an online tutorial or some information about it that can help me?
