Help fixing mistake in a top down raglan sweater

Hi all, I made a knit in the round, top down raglan sweater. the increases for the raglans are worked with M1R and M1L. It was not until I finished it and put it on that I realized one of my increases is off by one stitch. It is going to drive me crazy if I don’t fix it. Can I unravel from the top down? How would I go about doing the M1R and M1L if I am now knitting up from the yoke rather than down from the top? Those increases would now have to be decreases. And not sure how to get them to look the same as the increases. I hope this makes sense.

I would fix it by undoing the bottom bind off and then drop the stitches for the affected columns and then pull apart so the columns get ripped down to the mistake and then I would fix the mistake and work back to the rib with a crochet hook.

When making a M1L or M1R increase with help of the crochet hook, just take up the bar between the stitches and twist it clockwise for M1L and counterclockwise for M1R before pulling the yarn through.

If you are unsure how it is done, I suggest you practice on a small swatch before doing this to your sweater so you do not risk losing a lot of work.

It is not good to undo from top down until you reach the mistake because when knitting back up you will offset your raglan lines with a half stitch and if you do not like that one stitch mistake you have on one of the lines, you would probably not like a half stitch offset for all the lines. Besides this, when working back up you would probably not get your decreases to match perfectly the increases.

Thanks for the quick response. I thought that might be the answer. I was just trying to avoid undoing the whole sweater. Oh well, the enjoyment is in the time spent knitting, right?

But you would not need to undo the whole sweater, just two columns. This video shows what I mean except for how to do the increase part:
