Congratulations on persisting and finishing this cardigan! Good going.
I’m sure you can still donate this lovely sweater. There are so many people in need I am sure they would be very grateful of a warm layer, especially one so pretty and with so much work gone into it.
That looks adorable and well worth all the effort you put in. It will make some family very happy!

It isn’t perfect but I am happy leased.
I invested in circular needles part way through border and there are a couple of mistakes in the first 2 rows.
Nice again, a HUGE thank you to you and “Creations” for helping me so much.

that explains why i don’t have any buttonholes either then 
i thought some of the funny stitches were supposed to be buttonholes - at least i now know i am not going mad
will have to find some way of securing instead
There are tutorials for “after thought button holes” if you need to make some. I have used one before and I worked out well. There is a snip method (cutting the yarn) which I didn’t fancy at all, too scared, but there is a no snip method too which really involves just redistributing the yarn in the stitches around where the hole should be and then using another length of yarn to firm up the hole by sewing around.
If you need it I’ll try to find the tutorial for you.
cheers for that info - youtube / internet is proving a life saver as i try different patterns and new stitches so i will look that one up too
