Help again

Once again… I’m working on ANOTHER pattern… yes my ADD has kicked in…

I just need help figuring out a little something…

This pattern is knit in the round, and I cast on 160 stitches… it want’s me to do 2x2 ribbing… which is easy enough on flat. And I assume on round it’s just k2, p2 all the way round till it says (4 inches)… But the pattern says, K2, P2, twisting all purl stitches.

How do you twist a purl stitch… I searched google and here and couldn’t quite figure it out…

TIA… you guys are great:muah: :muah:

You would purl them through the back loop. Look on the Glossary, I think there’s a pbl or something with a video.

In the round, you knit all the knit sts and purl all the purl sts, as they come up, because you are always on the outside of the fabric, never the inside. As for the twisting-- you just want the 2 “legs” of the loop of each stitch to cross over each other. This page might help-- just be sure to read her explanation so you know what to look for in the picture of the sts. http://www.smart-knit-crocheting.com/twisted-stitch.html

thanks guys that helps alot… I didn’t know the term… I appreciate it… pointing me in the direction is good because then I learn it for myself… you guys are awesome…

Hello again there everyone… I’m finally getting back to finishing this pattern… yeah… I’ve been sick and other bad things have happened recently…s o just getting back into what I can do…

My question is… This pattern has been in the bag for a while… It’s in the round… I can’t remember which side I should be working on… as it was … jumbled in the bag…

Is there an easy way to figure out which side Should be “inside”

I have figured out where my very first stitch is… and that should have been a K… so I Can find hte V of the first stitch… if that helps…

Any help would be amazing…

Since they are K - P rows… I want to make sure that each row is correct…

Well after some research and testing, if I’m rgiht the first two KNIT stitches on a round piece should be the --'s right that I’d see on the “inside”

We’ll try the first 4 stitches and see if it looks “wrong” if it does… guess I’ll frog back those 4… been a while since I’ve done that… hope I don’t drop 'em
:knitting:

With ribbing or garter or seed stitch which look the same on both sides, it really doesn’t matter. See which side looks nicer to you overall, it doesn’t have to be the side that starts with the knit sts.

You guys are all awesome… I found that, after I started, I had set it up so that I’d remember… now if I just had remembered my system…

Thanks everyone
