Hello all

I’ve not kept in touch and thought I would reintroduce myself.

My name is Wendy and I’m a self taught knitter of about 2 years now. I’m single and 48 years old.

I have 2 grown daughters and a westie

I decided to learn knitting due to an accident that has left me unable to work as a nurse and with major chronic pain.

I cant tell you how thankful I am to have decided to learn to knit because it helps me to focus on something else besides the pain and little did I know it would help in other area’s of life as well.

I recently (day before my bday) lost my best friend unexpectedly, he passed away in his sleep. I’ve been knitting like a mad since then and its helping.

Right now I’m trying to knit a Cabled Raglan Sweater from a pattern I got for free on Knittingdaily.com its giving me fits though and I’ve bugged poor Ingrid till I’m sure she will go into witness protection  LOL

Why do patterns have to be so complicated some times? I wonder if they write them so that we bang our heads on purpose. I think of it like the Ice cream man when you were a kid… you hear the music, you run to catch him and he speeds off to force you to run behind the truck! LOL

I’m still here! :teehee: It takes more than a few steenkin’ knitting questions to keep me away.

:roflhard: :roflhard:

Welcome to the blogs and welcome back! :yay:

BTW…if you don’t mean this to be a blog thread I can move it to the General Forum.

Welcome to the blogs and happy knitting!
