Hayfield bonus Aran pattern 10322

I bought this pattern and I’m struggling…there is a graph for the cable pattern but it’s overwhelmed me and it’s only small diagram! I’m dreading starting
Also, I have tried the last rib row before changing the needles and I keep getting it wrong and end up with lots of stitches at the end!
Has anybody used this pattern?

I love thess cabled patterns. You can quote the rows that give the increases (or decreases) before changing to larger needles. Let us know the stitch counts before and after the stitch count change too. Don’t give us more than a row or two please due to designer copyright.

Here’s a helpful tutorial on reading cable charts from Interweave. See if that makes the chart any easier to interpret. Charts initially look intimidating but are actually a good way of visualizing the pattern as you work it.

Also one for basic charts:

When I work a new cable or lace pattern from a chart I always write something down just outside the chart to help me remember what the stitch is. I know charts have the key to stitches too but making a note in my own words, or my own abbreviation, or even just for the hardest stitch, helps me. Maybe you can do something like this to get you going?
And enough markers to keep things in the right place.

Good luck, it’s a lovely pattern you’ve chosen.
