Hat size measurement list?

I wish to make various hats and one pattern I was working stated that I should crochet until hat measured 14mm long.

I would like the circumference and length (height) of a hat per size like
for 3-6 m old such and such a size, etc… Does anyone know if there is a list like that online?

This pattern is the “basics” for putting a hat together.

This site has sizing information and TONS of free patterns for charity knitting.

I hope this helps you with what you are looking for!

sara_jayne, This is exactly what I needed. Thank you. The people here are why I have in my sig “I love this forum!”

I’m so glad it is what you needed!

This place does rock, doesn’t it?

My public health nurse gave me the exact measurements for a newborn to 3 months.
I can get the exact measurement for 3-6 from a medical standpoint too if you would like, I see her Thursday.

The average full term baby is born with a head of 14-14.5 inches and it grows to 15- 15.5 inches by three months of age.

This is also the exact size of a “kid size” boy cabbage patch doll’s head!

So if it fits a cabbage patch doll it will fit a baby!

Thanks for asking that question! I was wondering the same thing, as I wanted to make some hats for gifts. Those 2 sites are really helpful.
