Hello everyone!
I’ve been browsing around to see if I could find a hat pattern that would be suitable for a guy to wear and I’m just not coming up with anything spectacular. Most of the patterns I find are geared toward women and not men. I wanted to make one for someone, as a gift, but if I can’t find anything, I may have to think of something else (or take the time to make a pattern, which I can do but would prefer something already made
).
So, do any of you know of a great hat pattern that a man would wear?
Thanks!

Well, since I think there are plenty of hat patterns that men could wear I have to ask… are you looking for something specific? Cables? Ribbed? etc…
Here’s a few that I think would be perfect for men.
These are often made for men and shows a lot of them on Ravelry.

You might try the library for the “Morehouse Farm Merino Knits” book. It has some wonderful patterns including hats for men.
Here are two patterns that I found this past fall. Guys are so picky, but this should do for them. My sons actually wore them and didn’t complain. It doesn’t quite cover the ears, so if you want it to, you may have to knit an inch or two. The completed beanies standard measurement is 5 1/2 inches from the cast on to the top of the hat. When I knit extra to cover the ears this measurement was 7 1/2. Hope this helps.

I wasn’t really looking for anything specific (like Cables, Ribbing etc.). The patterns you provided are definitely worth trying.
Thank you!
