I finished another sweater for my newest DGD. She is a small newborn size now and I made her a sweater bigger than the tiny ones I made before and smaller than a standard 0-3 month size. It fits very nicely right now, but she is growing fast now and will soon be outgrown. That’s okay. I’ll get to knit more. DGD is 8 weeks old now and weighs about 7 lbs. Here is a picture of her in her sweater and hat.
This sweater is 16 inches around the chest and knit in fisherman colored Wool-Ease with a fingering weight pink crocheted trim and pink buttons. Here is the sweater and hat off the baby.
And here is a close up of the finishing on the trim.
Thanks everybody. She is a cutie pie. She was 4 lb. 13 oz. at birth and then lost down to 4/4, and had a bit of a time gaining at first, but she is picking up regularly now.
I liked the way the cream and pink turned out together. Very simple, but looks so good on her. Wouldn’t anything?
Wow, beautiful and so very delicate! Ohhhh and the sweater and hat are really pretty too! That trim on them is just the right finishing touch. Anything else would have been too much for the poor wee mite.
