For any one who has made this blanket, HOW BIG IS IT? The lady listed neither the size, nor the guage. :??
Has Anyone Made This Blanket
I would think that if you’re doubling the yarn, you’d get about three stitches to the inch. So, with 80 st across, that would be about 27 inches wide, right?
Ditto! And, Ingrid’s math kind of threw me for a loop - sorry, sometimes I’m not mathematically incline.
Did I do something wrong?
I figured that if you have 80 stitches cast on across, and if there are three stitches per inch, then you divide 3 into 80 and get about 27 inches. No?
There’s nothing wrong with the math; I could have done that myself. The point was that no guage was listed. Allow me to rephrase my question: Has anyone made this blanket with the specified yarn and needle size? If so, approximately how big was the blanket?
I approximated the gauge. Two strands of sport would be about worsted, and on size 15 needles in my guesstimate would be about 3 per inch.
gotcha …
Is there an error in the Blankets Border? 1st and 2nd Rows are K1, P1 until end??
Shouldn’t the even rows be P1, K1?
I might knit this too and keep it on hand for some future baby.
Thanks for reading,
Ann
I says the border is in seed stitch, so you would want it that way.
Ribbing would have k1, p1 and then p1, k1
