Has anyone ever made Revontuli-huivi

I saw it on Ravelry. Here is the website to the pattern

http://www.ullaneule.net/0307/ohjeet_revontuli.html

But it’s all in Dutch. Anyone speak Dutch or know where I can get an English translation?

Oh nevermind on the Engllish translation. THe link works now. But has anyone ever knit this? It looks hard. I can’t understand the chart. Even in English!

I’ve thought of it, the ones I’ve seen on Ravelry look gorgeous.

To start CO 5, then knit a row. The directions for following the chart are - knit 2 border stitches, chart 1, knit center stitch repeat chart 1, and knit 2 border stitches.

So the full row is not shown, only until the center st, that’s the black bordered box on the left of the chart, then repeat the other side.

R 2 - k2, m1, K1, (center st) m1, k2. there’s 7 sts at the end of the row.

R 4, k2, m1, k1, m1, K1 (center st), m1, k1, m1, k2 - 11 sts now.

etc…

I haven’t knit the pattern but it’s on my “maybe” list hehe…

Just wanted to say it’s not in Dutch it’s actually Finnish…I know it
has no relevance to your question but just needed to be a bit of
a nerd hehe…

Here is a link to the english pattern

DOH! Thanks, it’s good to know.

This page of the Ulla site has some useful information on translations and on the Ulla group at Ravelry.

Good news!
The designer has provided an English translation of the Revontuli shawl. Go to the link in my previous post, and scroll down the list of archived patterns on the right side of the page. You’ll find it under the name of the designer, AnneM.

Oh that shawl is GORGEOUS!!! If you make it, I so would love to see pictures.
