Does anyone know where I can find instructions, step by step how to knit by a grid pattern?? or a video?? Not the intarsia video on here.
Thanks.
Do you men in two different colors, or in the same color (a pattern where the grid is raised or recessed) ??
I have a picture that is on a grid…and I have the grid website where you can take any picture and it puts it onto a grid to knit (little blocks on a paper)…I have watched the intarsia video and it helps a little…but what I am knitting is not a pattern throughout the knitting…its just a picture in the middle of the knitting. I was looking for step by step instructions from beginning. I am trying to explain this the best that i can lol.
Gotcha! It’s called knitting from a chart, and I’m so sorry that I can’t help, aside from recommending the intarsia video, which you’ve already done!
Intarsia is my last knitting frontier…just the thought of it makes me very
This site might help.
Basically you read the right-side rows from right to left and the wrong-side rows from left to right. Use a post it note on the top edge of the row you’re working on to help you keep track. The main thing to remember is to twist your stitches when changing colors to avoid holes.
thank you sooooo much!!! :notworthy:
Would you happen to know where I can find info about doing that? I have no clue what it’s called so I don’t know where or what to look for.

There are charts used for cable patterns and knit/purl patterns. That’s probably what she’s referring to.
