Grid pattern for color work

I am starting a color work sweater and being my first time, I don’t understand what to do when the grid says “0”, no stitch?!? Do I just slip the next stitch on the left needle?

Welcome to the forum!
What is the name of your pattern and designer?
When there is a 0 (or an X or a dash) for your size it means there is no stitch there on the needles. Ignore the 0 and work the next stitch as instructed. The ‘no stitch’ will likely be filled in in subsequent rows with an increase. For now, it’s just a place holder to keep the chart square.
So if the row is k2,p2,0,k5,p1… you would k2, p2, k5, p1…

Thank you! The pattern is called Dreyma so I would start with a 4 stitch repeat, then with increases work my way up to 10 stitch repeat in row 20! I can get started now!

Whatever the chart indicates. Just skip over the 0 as there is literally corresponding stitch on your needles.

(I have this in my favorites!)
