how do I figure this? I’m ordering yarn that is in 50 gram balls so if I pick a pattern that uses yarn by the ounce how do I know how may balls I need? Thanks!
50 grams= 1 ounce
If you want to find out anything else, just multiply the number of grams by 0.03527
Thanks so much!
30 grams = 1 ounce
454 grams = 1 pound
Hope this helps

Oops I did my math wrong
50 grams is more close to 2 ounces. Sorry about the wrong answer
no problem . Thanks for the correction.
Math is not my subject so I use a conversion chart.
I hear ya Jan! I can’t stand math so sometimes figuring out these paterns are a little tricky. Thanks!
Different yarns have different density. Don’t go by weight–go by yardage!
Find out the yardage of the yarn called for in the pattern, and find out the yardage of the yarn you want to use.
i actually just google for the answer
“50 g = ? oz” and google will give you the answer!
Thanks for confirming what I thought I knew  I always go by yardage, too.
so, if a single American Bill ($1,$5,$10,$20) weighs one gram
then a Pound of $20s would be
$9080
I keep asking, but now I know how much I am owed
