grafting the seeded rib pattern

Thank you for all the details and ideas. I’m a relatively new knitter (with a forty year hiatus from when I first learned…)

The raglan area of the sleeve and saddle shoulders are matching well, and tacked together. I’d be afraid of creating issues with those if I were to start the sleeves over again from the cuff.

I already did surgery on one sleeve to remove 3 inches.

Now, I believe the graft is too complex and it’ll be easier to reknit to the cuff. The dark grey wool allows the pattern to appear uninterrupted.

Of course knitting top down didn’t work… The stitches were upside-down and the transition just looked odd.

So I’m biting the bullet. Frogging sleeves back below the raglan and reknitting with many new lessons learned.

Thanks everyone

I’m sure you will, be glad you made all this effort once you’ve completed this project.
Frogging is a hard decision to make but usually gives the best results in the end.

Sometimes the hardest but best way to go. Hope it knits up quickly from here on (it always does seem to).
