Just got the Shark steam mop, it’s AWESOME!!! :woohoo:
I just wanted to recommend it. No more messy mops and super hot 1500w & instant dry w/ microfiber pads.
I got it at Costco and it didn’t come with the carpet glider attachment, had to buy that separately, but it’s still a good deal because I paid $68 at Costco and they have a killer return policy!
My mom bought one of those after her H2O mop broke (after a few years of nearly every day use). She ended up returning it and buying a new H2O mop. Glad you like it, though!
Now that you’ve opened this subject…
Do you mind if I hijack your thread? LOL!
I’ve been giving long contemplation to the purchase of a steam cleaning system. Idealistically - I prefer NOT to use chemicals. The cancer rates in our society are high enough! (Family history, in my case, warrants the elimination of chemicals from my own life.) And steam is the ideal substitute.
So, I’m looking for the best, most universal, steam cleaning system - multi-use, multi-functional…you get the idea…
No problem! It’s all related. In fact it even relates to knitting because I saw a commercial for a steam mop (not the shark) on an old episode which I had recorded of Knitty Gritty.
That’s another thing I like about this, it’s just pure super hot water, no chemicals.:woot:
I was leaning towards 1 of 3: The Bissell mop, (and I LOVE my Bissell carpet cleaners), the Shark and the T1 Steamboy which has a triangular head. Basically they seemed pretty much the same to me, each just as hot and since Bissell is a big name, it has the most feedback.
I really like the little hand-help Shark. It works so well on grout. Yes, I am a freak and get down on my hands and knees to clean the grout, but this little guy makes it much easier than using a toothbrush.
I have the Shark as well, and I love it! I use it constantly as we live on a lake on a wooded (read dirt…) lot and have all hardwoods. It does a great job and I like the fact that I’m not using alot of chemical and cleaners that leave a build up on the floors. However, I just saw the infomercial for the NEW Shark steamer with the removeable heads and I wanna trade in mine for the upgrade lol!!
Do you know if she remembered to pump it before the first use? That’s important. That’s something I like about this mop, each backward motion pumps hot water into the mop so that when you move forward it steams out…sort of like pressing the button on a steam iron.
My mom just bought one of these and really likes it as well. I wondered how well the handheld worked on getting mineral deposits off shower walls? I have seriously used every chemical known to mankind but can’t get that hard scaly orange residue off. HOT water seems to help, but if this get’s hot and stays that way…
