so I turn to you, knitters more experienced than myself. My question: what happens when you block a bamboo/silk combo yarn (70%/30%, respectively)? I want to use the Patons Bamboo Silk for the Shetland Triangle Shawl by Evelyn Clark, but I don’t know if it’s the proper yarn for such a project. Now I know I could knit a swatch, block it, and see what happens, but that’s my last resort since you can’t take it back once you’ve used it. I just want to know about the properties of these yarns. I’ve ordered No Sheep For You from the library, but that’ll be here in a day or two and i’m itchin’ to start this project! I’m sure you know how it is. Any help or insight would be great. Thanks!
Esther
I looked it up on ravelryand there is a lace shawl on there…she mentions this on her notes:“Blocks really well. I was surprised.” She made Luna Moth Shawl and it’s very pretty in the yarn
