info first
yarn = KP essentials in Tuscany and Riverbed (both selfstriping)
worked on dpns - the left glitten used sizes 0, 1 and 1.5, holding both yarns in left hand; the right glitten used 0, 1.5 and 2, holding the red in right hand, blue in left (and imo, the right looks much better, not sure if pics will show the differences)
Oh! Those are so awesome!!! I tried knitting myself a pair once, but I only got as far as one glove minus the mitten cover. All of the ends to weave in were way too daunting.
Go for it! Pattern is here and they were fun to knit!
I used fingering weight, but you would likely use sport or worsted, and follow a similar chart (unless you want flowers…)
The stranding means that they are basically double thick - very nice and warm! Plus, I now love stranding - not only for the looks, but because I hate weaving in ends, and stranding means that the inside is already a mess, you just add the ends to the strands and you’re done, yay! :yay:
I really want some of those! I think this may be my next big project. I doubt I’ll finish before the cold weather leaves though. (The link is not working for me… and that blog only has a couple posts from 2005?)
those are gorgeous! I wish we had use for mittens here in the Texas Hill Country (sigh). They look like fun to make! I can definitely see the difference in the two-the blue stands out more (to me) on the right glitten Great job!
