Glittens are done! 3 pics

info first
yarn = KP essentials in Tuscany and Riverbed (both selfstriping)
worked on dpns - the left glitten used sizes 0, 1 and 1.5, holding both yarns in left hand; the right glitten used 0, 1.5 and 2, holding the red in right hand, blue in left (and imo, the right looks much better, not sure if pics will show the differences)

and now, pics!

Those are really nice. Great job!

I have a pair of store bought mittens that open like that. Now that I’ve seen yours I may just have to take a stab at knitting some.

Oh! Those are so awesome!!! I tried knitting myself a pair once, but I only got as far as one glove minus the mitten cover. All of the ends to weave in were way too daunting.

Very amazing job!!

I LOVE those! Is there a pattern anywhere? You did such a good job.

Go for it! Pattern is here and they were fun to knit!

I used fingering weight, but you would likely use sport or worsted, and follow a similar chart (unless you want flowers…)

The stranding means that they are basically double thick - very nice and warm! Plus, I now love stranding - not only for the looks, but because I hate weaving in ends, and stranding means that the inside is already a mess, you just add the ends to the strands and you’re done, yay! :yay:

Those look great!

Very nice, and I love the colorway. Couldn’t tell the difference between the two, though. Only ‘mom’ could, probably.

Thanks for the link to the pattern.

Those are fantastic, great job! Thanks for the link, I’ve been looking for a pattern for those.

They look great. Love the colors.

Those look great.

I really want some of those! I think this may be my next big project. I doubt I’ll finish before the cold weather leaves though. (The link is not working for me… and that blog only has a couple posts from 2005?)

Those are great! I’ve always wanted to knit me a pair and I am in need of a new pair of mittens.
I found a good link to the pattern here.

Nice job!

So sorry about the link about the link not working!

You can also try here for pics and this should go to the written pattern.

Wow! You did a great job.

:muah:those are gorgeous! I wish we had use for mittens here in the Texas Hill Country (sigh). They look like fun to make! I can definitely see the difference in the two-the blue stands out more (to me) on the right glitten :stuck_out_tongue: Great job!

:woot: They look wonderful!! :woot:

i think they both look great!

Wow…those are so nice! Great job!
