How long have you been knitting? SInce 1990 (whassat 15 years?? Yikes!)

What inspirred you to learn? It was my first feminist act. A bunch of us women who worked at a bookstore worked together to get a women’s Studies shelf. We were very upset how the management was treating us and one of the women tuaght us to knit to keep us calm in our meetings.

What are your views on Red Heart yarn?
I like the TLC cuz its soft and good for baby stuff. The regular ole Red Hart os too squishy scratchy sqeeuky yucko. And did you know they do not make brown? Whats up with THAT!!

What inspired you to learn?[color=green]Boredom and intrigue. Didn’t know anyone who knew how, and I actually wanted to teach myself crochet. But I got online and found a video for starting to knit (not here)…I went to the store got a crochet book, and realized that knitting is prettier most of the time.[/color]

What was your first project?[color=green]It’s really hard for me to remember this one, but since it’s hardly ever cold here I know it wasn’t a scarf. I think it was the punkrock backpack from SnB which I’m still not done with. That or DPN wristwarmers that I frogged. I think I tried making Hallowig, but that didn’t work out.[/color]

What was your first project? the proverbial scarf, it was a knit kit I got at my local Ben Franklin Crafts Store. I took it on a car trip and my first attempt got tossed in the back seat less than an hour into the trip

What are you working on now? I just finished a NEBB for my newest nephew that actually wasn’t due to be born until nov. 8th. The little (and I do mean little 5.9 lb bugger came 3 and a half weeks early) But now I know I can whip out half a blanket in 4 days! :shock:
