I am knitting the Fun flowers cardigan and am so confused on the sleeve. The pattern does not tell you how long the sleeve should be and when to bind off. The pattern says to start the sleeve shaping at 7.5 inches and to decrease 3 stitches 1 x, is the 1 time each side ( 6 stitches) and then to decrease 2 stitches 5 times is this 2 stitches each side (10 stitches). Then is states to bind and if I do this the flower is not complete, HELP!
Cast on and work the ruffle pattern. You’re then going to increase on each edge. Increase on rows 8,16,24.32, 40 and 48 for however many times in appropriate for your size. I’ve listed 6 increase rows which is appropriate for the medium size.
Once you reach 7.5" it’s time to shape the sleeve cap. Bind off 3 sts at the beginning of the row, work to the end, turn and bind off 3 sts at the beginning of the row and work to the end.
Now you’re going to bind off 2 sts at the beginning of every row, 10 times total (5 times on each side). Once you’ve completed those bind off rows, Bind off all sts on the next row.
