Hello Everyone!
I am trying to go from magic looping (wrist warmers) to flat knitting to make the thumbhole. I pulled up half the stitches and knit flat, but can’t figure how to pull the others up and keep going??? I am using the flat knitting to make the thumbhole (not ready for gusset yet). Can anyone explain? thanks a bunch!!!
Assuming what you’re doing is like what I’m working on, where it’s basically a tube with a slit for the thumb … all you do is turn the work, like you would with straight needles, and do a wrong-side row, then turn again when you hit the edge and do a right-side row, and so on. (And then when you’re done with the slit, end with a right-side row and then join to knit in the round again.)
thank you! i think i was forgetting to turn it. the first stitches on the needle were fine, but i looked at the others and was drawing a blank! appreciate the reply. this site rocks!!!
