Hi Everyone,
I am working on this free pattern. I have a question if I should continue in the round after separating the stitches for the sleeves. Is that is the case how?
The pattern says:
Knit 52 (52) 56 (60) 70 sts (front), place the next 32 (32) 34 (36) 38 sts on a stitch holder (sleeve), cast on 4 (6) 6 (6) 4 new sts in extension of the sts on the needle and place a marker in the middle of these, knit 52 (52) 56 (60) 70 sts (back), place the next 32 (32) 34 (36) 38 sts on a stitch holder (sleeve), cast on 4 (6) 6 (6) 4 new sts in extension of the sts on the needle and place a marker in the middle of these.
There are now a total of 56 (58) 62 (66) 74 sts each on front and back.
Yes, you’ll be knitting in the round. This video explains it better than I could. She uses a backward loop cast on but you could use a knitted, cable, or crochet cast on. Knitter’s choice. I can’t find a free pattern by that name. Could you share a link please.
I’m glad you found it helpful. I might eventually figure things like this out on my own or with written help but seeing it does makes it so much easier for me. I think a lot of us benefit from a demonstration.
