Hi everyone - thought you’d find this funny - my bloke, the scientist, was happily playing pokemon while I was drooling in a new LYS we found today, and I was explaining to the owner about my allergy to wool.

Bloke glanced up and pointed at something and said ‘that’s nice’, I said I couldn’t use it cause it was from animals, and that I could only use synthetics or plant-based fibres. He started babbling, then came out with a fantastic point - ‘synthetics come from animals, cause they died, fell to the bottom of the sea, got smished, turned into oil, were drained and turned into polymers’. Couldn’t really counter that one :wink:

giggles its a great counter to the argument about acrylics not being as “good” as natural fibers :stuck_out_tongue:

He’s only slightly off as the vast majority of the organic matter than eventually turns to oil is vegetable matter, not animal. Vegans can relax.

Still quite funny though.
