Foll 2 alt rows

My pattern is confusing me…

I am knitting a cardigan, and I am at a stopping point because I dont understand the next part of the pattern.

It states:
[color=darkblue]Dec 1 st at each end of the next 7 rows, then on foll 2 alt rows.[/color]

I understand the first part, but what does ‘foll 2 alt rows’ mean? Does this mean that I will knit 3 more rows and dec 1 at each end of the 1st and 3rd row? I do know that after the 14 stitch decreases, there should be 4 more stitch decreases.

I would decrease on the 7 rows, then skip one, decrease, skip one, decrease.
