Thank heavens it’s done.:passedout: Love how it turned out but… I’ll not make another.
With my luck my mom will love it and ask for another.:teehee:

Oh, pretty!!! I’m glad you like it, I’m sorry it was such a pain for you.
It really is beautiful.
Now you need to knit something enjoyable. What’ll it be?
Uh-oh, that looks perfect! I’m afraid it’ll generate requests for many more.
I love the color combination, too. Well done.
Very pretty! I especially love the color combo!
Thanks GG! I really tried not to kvetch too much about the yarn given that it’s Thanksgiving, and I’m truly grateful to be able to knit at all, though I didn’t succeed at not kvetching too much. Time to put on my grateful hat, and keep wearing it, yes? ![]()
Now that I’m back to knitting regular yarn with my knitting pin, the soap sacks I’m finishing up for Christmas gifts are my enjoyable knit. My gratitude for that little device and Portuguese knitting knows no end. And after the holidays, Georgie Porgie is in my sights in Stroll Firecracker Tweed! :woot:
Firecracker Tweed? I’ve seen Firecracker will have to look for the Tweed version. Sounds awesome! Georgie Porgie never had it so good.
Sometimes it’s good to be able to say something to those who get it and know that this too shall pass. A not-fun knit is not fun! :noway:
ETA I’m finding the Stroll Sport is great to knit with and produces a nice cushy sock. When I have to tink or frog, it is a PITA. What’s your experience?
Nice result, at least!
The Tweeds have Heather in the name, so they’ve added to my general confusion.
Firecracker Heather on the Tweed sock page has more dark than light nupps, and is a beautiful red orange. The firecracker heather on the regular stroll sock page was a heathered red. Go figure, and please make up my mind for me, Knit Picks!![]()

Unfortunately I have yet to use the Sport(knitting heresy!
), but in the sock weight, if I tink a row or rnd more than once or twice, the plies will untwist and be a PITA to reknit.
Pretty yarn.
I’ve found getting it back on the needles is the hardest part with undoing/redoing and once the stitches are back on the needles and the frogged stuff rewound it isn’t too bad. That’s the sport weight, I’ve not yet tried the fingering.
It is very cute. I would probably not attempt this so I admire you
Fantastic! Love how the yarn worked up, and the colors are great. I’ll bet your mother
it, :teehee:
Glad you got it done. They really are stunning but such a bind to make! I have a black and white one made up, still in the drawer, can’t give it away!!! If I’d known you were making that colourway you could have had it for nothing!! :roflhard:
Brenda,
LOL! This was a result of one of my less intelligent clearance purchases. I was at Walmart and saw that this colorway was on clearance for $1 a ball, so thinking it was a great deal I snagged 10 balls.
The remainder is going to the knitting club at a local HS as a donation… The girls ought to snap it up! Better them than me.
