Well my 7yoDS decided against having a dino like his big bro he wanted a rainbow striped Gingerbread Man instead. Cost me money though having to buy all that wool to felt. Thank fully I have plenty left. As with the other stuffed masterpiece I take no credit for the design, buttons any thing, it was his vision, it was just my job to make it happen. LOL His Name is Randy Candy Man.
The pattern was from a book called Knitted Toys by Zoe Mellor.
That is one of a kind. I love it! Your son is a heart stealer. He really had fun thinking of what he wanted on this one (he carried the rainbow theme throughout). Is that self striping yarn or did you have to do it all yourself? If you did you were a real trooper.
I did have to stripe it and of course that meant buying 6 skeins of wool. I am usually so cheap and planned to use up my old stash of stuff making toys but since he picked a felted thing I had to buy new stuff. There was no talking him out of it, I especially tried hard with the buttons but it had to be ALL rainbow. I am still working on him with the bottom front button cuz it is kinda droopy so I so want to just snip it off but he’s not going for it. He has always loved rainbow colored things and Gingerbread men, so it did not surprise me one bit. It stands out in his collection. LOL
