The bag took about 4 days to make, and I worked on it for maybe an hour at a time. If that. It was really quick, and you can make it as long and as big as you want. Also, keep in mind that the strap stretches A LOT, so don’t go making it crazy long or anything like that.
Ah, another thing: when I made the square, I tried to keep in mind that I’ll be picking up “90 or stitches”, so I tried to cast on a number that would go into 90 easily. I CO 25, so that I would have 25 on two sides, and then I did about 20 rows to make an even 90. Does that make sense? Anyways, this little bit of planning made picking up stitches evenly a lot easier.
How much weight can the bag hold?

It can def hold Farmer-market-typed goods…I took it to the store and managed to get a couple of apples, some plums, a small jar of preserves, and a few potatoes, and it was fine. It’s not like it was groaning under the weight or anything like that.
I wouldn’t go carrying around bricks or cinder blocks in it, though.
