Oh I love that bag! I’ve had it in my queue for ages and yours looks so nice I’m really tempted to try it now!
The pattern looks really nice in that yarn…
I love that bag! Thanks for the link
They go together beautifully
You are truely a speed demon knitter! Did you line the bag?
WOW!!!
What a beautiful bag.
GORGEOUS Bag!!! and YES, it compliments your sweater perfectly!!!
Wow, Wow, Wow! I just love cables, and that bag…wow! What a wonderful combination! The color is so neutral that you can use it with anything you wear!
That bag is very pretty, I can see why you like that yarn. :yay:
What a great bag!!
They are wonderful ! Well done .
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!
Hi Angie!
Yes it’s braided! I made SIX, 4 ft long, 2st i-cords, then braided them as a normal 3 pc braid, holding 2 i-cords as one. This made the handle real sturdy.
Oy! That i-cord was really boring, but it had to be done!
Hi Marg!
No, I didn’t line the bag. I had read notes over at Rav that it doesn’t stretch really. And, I didn’t join the bottom using the grafting thing, I did a 3-needle bind off which makes the bottom less likely to stretch.
I also brought the handles down all the way to the bottom, inside the bag at the sides. I placed what you’d call running stitches in and out of the handle through the side of the bag, so it is attached to the bag all the way to the bottom along the side. That will also prevent stretching I think!
I don’t intend to load it up with lots of stuff anyways!
Here is a photo showing how far down the handle goes…except
that I stitched it down inside the bag, of course!

Love the bag :woot: the sweater is gorgeous too:yay: I do love cables:teehee:
Just out of curiosity, how long does it take you to knit something like that sweater and that bag?
Love them both! Cables and tweed are two of my favs!
