(FO) Poncho as per my Nieces request

My sister requested I knit a poncho (with hood) for my Niece who is 7 later this month. I’m not the best knitter but I really wanted to do this. I found King Coles Girls Poncho pattern 4928 (bought on Ebay but pattern linked to Love Crafts below). I used Love Crafts Paintbox wool blending Shocking Pink (although still undecided if it is even pink, let alone Shocking haha). I knit it in age 8-9. I’m a little worried that I’ve seen the hood too snug so will be taking my needles when I deliver it

Big thanks to Salmonmac without whom I wouldve struggled to get past the first dozen rows. I very much appreciate your help

That worked out beautifully. Well done!
Maybe not shocking but certainly Hot Pink. I bet your niece will love it. Thank you for the pattern link.

I would’ve called that magenta, maybe - it’s one of my favourite reddish-purple type colours. Whatever the colour, the finished product looks great! I love the heart

Yes it’s cool. Never done bobbles before but once I got into it I quite enjoyed them

I think she will like it so that’s the main thing to me. The heart worked out well, I was debating leaving it out bug I’m glad I didn’t

Its currently 27oc so she may not be ready for it but I need a model

Thankyou. I’m giving it to her this weekend so I do hope so but very much a project made with love :hugs:
