These are the most clever little slippers I’ve ever seen, and I just HAD to make them. Now I’m going to make about a zillion pairs of them because they’ll make great gifts. I’ve shown a couple of friends, and they want some, so guess what they’ll be getting for Christmas!
This is what they look like before wearing, in their “pocketbook” form:
And here is what they look like on. I do have size 10 feet, so they’re pretty stretched. My next pair for myself, I’ll add a couple stitches to them to accommodate my giant feet:
You can find more pictures and my notes on them on my Ravelry page HERE.
Oh yeah, I forgot to post a link to the pattern. I just assume everyone here is on Ravelry and can get the pattern from there. Thanks for posting a link Jan!
Azlynn, thank you!
I think that you just may have solved my yearly “what should I knit for everyone for Christmas that doesn’t take too much time and isn’t a scarf” predicament. I’ll going to make a pair for myself soon with stash yarn soon. Thanks again for sharing.
hehe that’s what I’m thinking, too. They’ll make the perfect quick gift for everyone that doesn’t get a “big” gift from me. They don’t take much yarn, so you can destash, etc. I just got some sparkles yarn from KP, so next time I have a chance to make another pair, I’m going to try adding another fun element and put that in there and see how it comes out. I love my clever YO holes around the edges.
I’m also going to try to make “wallet slippers” for men and just don’t add the strap part. If anyone wants to try that before me, let me know how it works out! I just started on a shawl for my MIL that I have to get done before she comes to visit, so I don’t have time to make any anytime soon.
You’re welcome! It’s a good idea to post a link anyway and it’s easy enough to do. If a pattern is available outside Ravelry then post that link for those who aren’t on Rav yet or don’t want to be.
