The scarf is a scrunchable, worked on #8 needles with Patons SWS in Natural Earth. 30 stitches cast on with one on each edge as a selvage. Then I added fringe at the end with extra bits of yarn.
The hat is the same one that I posted before…but now here is the completed set. It’s pretty awesome…to bad it’s 75 degrees today so I can’t go try them out. :happydance:
Thanks…I really love this yarn. I bought a skein in Natural Navy, too, so I could make a hat for my husband. Are there any solid color yarns that are comparable to Patons SWS?
My fingers are just itching to make this scarf, and I even have a similar Patons yarn, but my question is what do I do with the 1 extra stitch at each edge for the selvage?
I used 3 skeins for the scarf…I haven’t measured it, but with the fringe it is just as long as I am tall, and I am 5’9". There was enough yarn in the 3 skeins to make sure that the color stripes matched up, too, and still have some for fringe. I used all but about 10 yards of 1 skein for the hat.
