I made this using Knit Picks Shimmer. I used Knitty’s Clapotis pattern, but it’s a lot longer - she wanted to be able to wrap it lots of different ways.

wow that is beautiful! It looks like it was difficult to make!
That’s very pretty. May I ask what yarn you used?
That is really pretty!! Such beautiful colors!
And btw, that porch is GORGEOUS as well. I am drooling-would love to have a big front porch!
Very very nice. I love it. I been meaning to make one for such a long time. Did you love doing it? I adore your choice of yarn, very fall colors and earthy, just my style.
:happydance:Great job!
Thanks for all the kind comments. These are my sister’s favorite colors. I used Knit Picks Shimmer. I followed the Clapotis pattern free on Knitty, but made it a bit wider (if I was going to do it again I’d go wider still) because the shimmer is finer than the pattern calls for. I had 2 skeins, so I just did the increase set up rows and then knitted until I was about out of the first sken, then did the second half of the pattern with the second skein. It was nice to do - simple enough that I could watch TV, but enough to it that I didn’t get bored. The pattern says to put markers where you do the stitches you’ll drop, then I read somewhere to just purl those stitches and that sounds like a really good idea. The front porch is actually where I work - not a bad place to spent the day!
That’s so neat! It looks great. Beautiful colors.
