FO: Jean Greenhowe Easter Bunnies

I knitted these bunnies for all five grandchildren using Jean Greenhowe’s free pattern:

Two of the children are just one year old, so I used yarn eyes and nose instead of the glue-on eyes. I used this method of making the features:

There is a creme Easter egg inside each bunny. (I will depend on my DDs to keep the littlest ones from eating them.)
These were so easy to make, but you do have to sew them up.

What a fabulous idea! Why haven’t I got small grandchildren any more!

They are so much fun – six years old, four, three, one and one! And I had almost given up on ever having any!

Those are so cute! You could put a plastic egg with something child safe in it, too.

Thanks.
Actually they stand up by themselves because of the doubled garter stitch bodies, so any small toy could go inside. They can also be used as puppets.

I am sure the grandkids will have loads of fun with these  I think they are great . Thanks for sharing

They’re adorable!!! What a great idea!

Cute…and clever!!

I’m sure they’ll love them, they’re so cute.

:happydance:very cute!

Thanks, everybody. And I have seen lots of cute ideas on this forum to knit for next Easter!

Too cute! Those ears seem to be saying “peace”. Peace bunnies.
