FO: First ever sweater :D

This is the first sweater I’ve ever knit. I’ve knitted Bob the tomato from Veggie Tales, some 2 needle slipper socks, a baby blanket, and ONE mitten… lol:aww:(I gave up on the second one) and then I finally made myself tackle this sweater for my niece’s birthday! :woot:

Now I’m on to my next project… Socks! I’m already on the heel flap of my very first one… Wish me luck, I’ve never picked up stitches before other than to make the crochet border on this sweater so that the chained tie didn’t look so out of place (IMO).

The sweater is adorable!

After you fininsh the socks, go back and pick up the mitten, you’ll find it much easier. At least, that was my experience; after these items, you’re well on your way.

Lovely job. Be careful…socks can be addictive! I am on my 6th pair now, and up til the last 2 months of 2008 I had never knitted a sock.
